Revival Among the Unexpected (Outside the Gate)

Revival Series (Part 6) From this exposition of Luke 14, we learn that Jesus shows that many who were invited to the Great Supper refused - not because of open rebellion - but because they were too full of life's cares, plans, and pleasures. They made excuses. And in doing so, they missed the Great Supper, angering the Host. In this message, we also examine how America is "well-fed" but greatly malnourished. The same is true spiritually (among "Laodicean" Christians). They are outwardly full, yet inwardly empty. Informed about many things, yet lacking power and the unadulterated truth. Revival begins where there is felt need and true hunger. The "highways and hedges" point to the overlooked (the unchurched, the outcasts, those outside the comfortable system). There will often be ready responses to truth when the Lord revives the humble and the needy. In this message, I also share some personal history as a former rock guitarist, and later a pastor of many alternative, "Christian" rockers, etc. Don't let busy, modern life distract us from God our duties to Him. Return to the old paths. Get hungry again! God will fill His house, and us, but not with full souls. already full of self, worldly cares, etc.

Revival and the Hungry Soul (Seeking the Marriage Supper)

In this message we find that God feeds, revives, and blesses, the hungry soul. We study the Marriage Supper of the Lamb, and how it pertains to revival. We study the Bible itself (instead of extra-Biblical, so-called history and culture) to reveal the true prophetic timeline for end times. We discover that the Marriage Supper is the Millennial Kingdom, and it is the prize of the high calling. We learn that often revival breaks out when we bring God's promises and warnings to the hungry instead of the self-satisfied. God speaks to much of American Christianity that is too busy to care about His priorities and blessings He has prepared for His people. Are we too busy, rich, and need of nothing in our own eyes to care?

Revival on the 3rd Day (Through Prayer and Expectation)!

This sermon examines the "third day" throughout the Bible, and its often connection deliverance, restoration, revival, and the manifestation of God. We see it in the resurrection of the Lord Jesus; and, also in the prophecy of Israel being restored in the last days, on the third day, in Hosea. This message shows that cold, dark, sinful ages are the very times God can send His revival through importunate prayers and expectation of His obedient people. Great fundamentalist leaders of the past expected two revivals in the end times, even before the coming of Christ – 1. A counterfeit revival of apostate Christendom, and 2. A red hot, true revival of overcomers, that breaks out when God's remnant refuses to be discouraged and will dare to keep "following on" in obedience, and prayers for spiritual awakening.

Revival: Waking to Present Responsibility!

This message examines the Bible, and the 1st and 2nd Great Awakenings, to show that true revival occurs when God's people awake to their responsibility before Him. It reveals the "isms" people believe that hinder such responsibility. God demands a thankful response to His grace, mercy and power that is whole-hearted, not half-hearted. He promises to bless, and fellowship with His people when we resist passivity and respond in fullness of dedication.

Revival and the Return of the Jews!

This message examines the Bible and history to show how the belief in the soon return of the Jews to their homeland, first in unbelief, then, later in a great, spiritual awakening, has spawned revivals and zealous holy living, throughout history - especially in these latter days. we examine some prophecies, as well as quotes from great Christian writers in the past. What should be our response to Israel in their land today? What does the Bible teach will happen next? What did John the Baptist, the Lord Jesus, Paul, Peter and the Apostle John mean by the kingdom, the time, the end, etc., being "at hand"?

Revival and the Any-Moment Return of Christ (And the Creation Week Prophecy)

This sermon examines the "any moment" return of Christ as a motivating key to revival and holiness in the Bible. It then presents quotations from the first three hundred years of Christian history (after Christ and the Apostles), the Reformation, the Great Awakening, and the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, showing how this truth produced great revival fruit throughout history. The message also explores how the six days of creation were widely understood by Christian writers as a prophetic pattern of six thousand years of human history before the seventh-day rest of the Messianic, Millennial Kingdom. It further demonstrates that this prophetic framework was historically connected to the doctrine of imminency regarding the Second Coming and was not seen as contradictory to it. Finally, the sermon shows how the truths of the Second Coming were historically and biblically linked to Christian responsibility, and why much modern evangelical teaching on Bible prophecy and the Second Coming rarely produces godly revival, since it often omits the biblical warnings that Christ clearly gave.

We Need Reviving! (Preparations for Revival)

In this first introductory sermon of this series, we examine the Scriptures for important keys to true revival. What is a revival? How do they start? We also examine history, and important revival books, such as Ernest Baker's, "The Revivals of the Bible" (1903). How can we reach people in times of sloth, indifference, rebellion, coldness and apostasy? What does the Bible (and our forefathers who sought after revival) teach that we need to be revived?

Sourpuss Christians: The Curses of a Bad Attitude!

A bitter, complaining attitude, rooted in unbelief and laziness, is infectious. It spreads like leaven. It brings judgment from God and hinders fellowship with Him, and blessings. This sermon looks at the spirit and attitude that God uses and blesses, and calls Christians to shun complaining and murmuring, and have a spirit of revival and work for God and His house. It also examines how we ended up with so many complainers and whiners in this generation. And it looks at all of this as it relates to Bible prophecy and the coming of the Lord.

Defenses Against Depression

This sermon looks at 18 links to depression, often found in the lives of modern Christians. Although there are times when we are called to press on in spite of depression, there are often many times when it can be avoided by what we do or do not do. The Bible, as the lamp to our feet, has much to say about the matter. We explore the amazing wisdom of the Scriptures, regarding spiritual and physical things - centuries ahead of modern scientific research - related to depression.

It may be a "family tradition," but that doesn't excuse sin! This message examines how sentimentalism, family pride and affection can become Satanic strongholds, keeping people from bound in sins and foolishness. We are to test what we have learned through our culture and family ways, by the Holy Scriptures, keeping the good, and rejecting the evil.

Overcoming Sinful Addictions!

This message examines God's way of fighting and overcoming sinful addictions (drunkenness, pornography, drugs, etc.). Believers have God's gracious power living through us, and we have His promises and wisdom. All of this enables us to fight, suffer and win. In this age of psychology, and demonic movements, there is a great need for pure Biblical wisdom in this area of overcoming addictions. May the Lord use this sermon to help many.

Toxic Empathy: How Feminism Destroys A Nation!

This sermon examines how feminism destroys families and nations by perverting God's order and design. We examine the evil, antichrist history and views of feminism and Marxism. We also look at how women are outnumbering men in many institutions, and this is changing the way the nation thinks. It is all rooted in propaganda designed to appeal to the emotions of women, so that anything contrary to the agenda (destruction of the patriarchy) is seen as hateful, uncaring, and lacking in empathy. The Bible predicted this state of things. It is hoped that this message will help people re-examine the foundations of their own thinking, so they will not fall prey to Satan's goals.

Destruction of the Flesh (That the Spirit may be Saved)!

This sermon examines in detail 1 Corinthians 5:5. It reveals what the destruction of the flesh means, It also shows how rebellious believers can hinder the repentance of carnal believers by deceiving them regarding holy fear and the warnings of God, and also by subverting church-discipline, etc. Many are blind to how they have become much like the false prophets and teachers in the days of Jeremiah and Ezekiel, who pampered the people, and strengthened them in sin, undermining the work of God's faithful prophets and teachers. We must walk in Biblical balance of true judgment and mercy in the right places. Satan seeks for us to become upside down.

Soul-winning A Major Priority (Excuses Answered)

This message examines soul-winning (witnessing, discipleship) as a major part of what should be our Christian focus regarding our lives. It also looks at some of the common excuses Satan deceives people into believing, to avoid this focus. We examine the influence of Rogerian psychology on American Christianity in the 20th century, blossoming its toxic fruits in the 1970s, etc. Specifically, we examine the self-love movement, and how that led to a sinfully self-conscious generation, shunning "other-oriented" focus. Is being shy a good excuse for hiding the life-saving truth from perishing souls? And what about those who attempt to use God's sovereignty to excuse laziness? The sermon shows some keys to overcoming self-conscious timidness, and laziness.

What is God's Righteousness Believers Should Seek? (Matthew 6:33)

This second message on resetting our focus for life takes a closer look at Matthew 6:33, "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness..." We examine who these words are spoken to, and the specific definition of God's righteousness in this verse. This sermon reveals that it is the practical walk of righteousness that God has prescribed and provided by grace to every Christian. Growing in practical holiness, for the reward of rulership in the coming, thousand-year, Messianic kingdom, should be the primary focus of believers. They already possess eternal life in the eternal kingdom as a free gift by grace through faith alone. Now they should seek after the "reward" of the inheritance by walking in the works God desires to live through us, practically, experientially!

Are you blindsided by bitterness and resentment? May the Lord use this message to redirect and sharpen your vision for the new year, that you may have your eyes on the prize of the high calling!

The sin of evil surmising is rarely reproved in this day and age. How often is it preached against? Yet, this sin, connected with false accusation, is rampant in these last days. In fact, many actually peddle evil surmising and insinuation as a profitable business. May we learn what this sin is, and be very careful in the fear of God, to avoid it. For with what judgment we judge, we shall be judged!

Tragic Future of Untrained Children (When Words Won't Work)

This sermon continues the theme from the previous week. It examines the Proverb "A servant will not be corrected by words." It shows that the future destiny of children who are not trained to obey at the first word, is servitude in many forms, hardship and destruction. What does it mean to "train up a child" in a Biblical fashion? Why have so many in modern times lost the ability to control themselves and regulate their emotions? Why are so many unable to obey rightful authority unless they suffer consequences? The Lord calls us to be servant-minded. But what does it mean to have a "servant mindset" in an unbiblical way?

Venting Anger: The Modern Fall of Self-Control

This message examines the modern epidemic of rage. It explores how anger should be managed according to the Bible. It reveals from history how modern culture became addicted to venting anger. It shows how psychologists led the way to defining venting as healthy and beneficial. The sermon shows that automatically exalting feelings, and their expression, without any concern for Biblical truth, duty, manners or reason, has resulted in the unraveling of civilized society. This venting trend, in fulfillment of Biblical prophecy, continues, although the Bible shows venting is wrong and shameful, and even secular research shows it leads to more hostility, not less. In summary, this study reveals the BIBLE WAY to manage anger.

This sermon reveals from the Bible that mankind has struggled with a general madness since the fall in Genesis 3. Yet it also shows how the 1960s accelerated this madness with relativism. This has all exploded in the 21st century, with people living in their own fantasy worlds, expecting others to play along. This message explores how easily false memories can be planted in children and even adults. It examines how devils are using modern technology for evil to prepare for the Antichrist and the ultimate deception. Satan comes to steal, kill and destroy lives!

The King's Return: Our Focus and Motivation

In the NT, we find the Second Coming of Christ, with His rewards (positive and negative) as one of the major grounds for all Christian duties, commandments, etc. This Second Coming focus is a key part of true revival - as shown in the Bible and throughout history. This message examines the Bible verses proving the reality and importance of this focus. And it also examines the reasons for this focus. The anemic, weak, passive state of much of modern "Christianity" is largely due to this motivation being neglected.

It examines Biblical and Christian history to reveal that true revivals were wrought by God by men being zealous and fervent for His Word and holiness. It shows how godly moderation means balancing priorities in a Biblical manner and ruling our lives in this Biblical balance.

Cut-Off Culture: Vindicating Victimhood, Breaking Families!

The Bible teaches HOLY separation. It is often neglected and ignored in modern Christian churches. Yet, both the world and much of so-called, Christian culture, have gone mad with UNHOLY separation. This new "cut off culture" has indoctrinated a generation to hate, dishonor and reject their parents, spouses, relatives or friends – all in the name of "self healing." Validating victimhood is big business. Politicians, therapists, and pastors often tell people what they want to hear for selfish gain. This sermon exposes this modern movement of Satan, that he is using to destroy families and keep people fragile and dependent.

Sin's Allure and Calm...Before Judgment!

This message examines examples from the Bible and history to show how Satan, false prophets and the flesh, entice people into sin. There is first the allure, then the manifestation of reality. Specifically, this message takes a look at feminist writer, Gertrude Atherton, in the early 20th century. Loved by the liberal world, she was a false prophetess who mocked fundamental preachers. She deluded the nation into laxity and sin. Soon, the nation fell into the judgments the preachers had forecasted! The sexual revolution was soon widespread, with broken homes, dead babies, and greater abominations.

Fresh Oil or Rancid Oil: What Are We Offering God?

This message preached in Noblesville, Indiana, at Crown of Life Baptist, uses an important natural health principle concerning oil to also remind us of an important spiritual truth and command. Rancid, stale oil destroys the gut and body. Likewise, when we lose our joy and gladness in our service to God, He is not pleased. This message reveals the importance of avoiding bitterness, bad attitudes, etc, It shows the great witness we can have to others when we endure trials with joy.

How God Uses "People Problems" (Don't Jump Ship)!

This message looks at division in families, churches, etc. It reveals how God uses them to test us. In a general sense, family and church divisions and splits are trials. And God often uses trials to manifest who is righteous, who has faith, patience, charity, etc. But people often use "people problems" in families, churches, etc., to "jump ship." They use them as an excuse to give up on God, and His will and commandments. They thereby fail the test!

This message explores what an Enabler or Enticer is in the Bible - their types, and the ways they cause others to fall. It examines the story of Amnon and Jonadab, and the terrible rape of Tamar, showing why sinful "love" so often turns quickly to hate. The message warns believers to arm themselves against various "Jonadabs" - and to avoid them. Such Jonadabs usually have their own agendas and sinful motives, and they use others to accomplish their goals!

This message reveals the demonic backdrop of the recent transgender shooter. It also examines the Bible and history, showing that forts, castles, walled cities, and army bases, are not immune to attack. The main point in the message is to show that the local church is not immune to Satanic attack and warfare. The Bible teaches it is often the very place of battle! There are false, or partly false, teachings about the local church and the family, that often leave Christians unprepared for battle.

False Judgment of Leaders and the Tools Wolves Use

We know Satan quotes Scripture. But he takes it out of context and balance. This message examines some propaganda ploys that wolves use to split churches and/or families. What does it mean that pastors should be blameless? What does it mean to abstain from all appearance of evil? This message shows that while leaders (of churches or families) receive greater judgment from God for sins, the Lord will also sharply punish those who bring false accusations, railings, and sinful schisms against leaders. This message examines Korah and other examples in the Bible.

Sin is rooted in wicked hearts. And hearts can become even more evil through rejecting reproof. This message continues to examine the days of Noah as an historic picture of what to expect in our age before the coming of Christ. This message examines how the cares of this life and world can choke the truth if we are not careful. And how hardness of hearts from ignoring godly preaching, manifests in greater abominations.

In the days of Noah we find the first polygamist, the first violent rapper, and people living for self. We also see fallen angels having sexual relations with women. These sins are warnings for our age. Are people opening doors to devils?

This message is from Luke 17. It reproves some excuses we can be tempted to make for either our lack of full obedience, or our bad attitude when serving God. Our flesh will lead us to blame God or our circumstances for our lack of duty. The Lord Jesus exposes self-pity and calls us to be faithful (and in God's grace, profitable) by seeing ourselves as unprofitable in view of God's great mercies!

This message examines the modern riots in California, and those in the 1960s. It looks at how holy manners, and respect for authority, and self-control were all largely lost - especially in America in the past century. We examine Dr. Spock, the actor James Dean, Elvis, and more. And this message reveals the Bible way. It calls fathers to turn their hearts to children, and children to turn their hearts to fathers - or else!

This is not an ordinary "Father's Day" message. It is an encouragement, but also a call to action. It makes fathers aware of the responsibility to be protectors of the home. And it calls wives/mothers to not undermine this watchful care. It also calls children to obey the protective rules, and do what they can to help their siblings. This message contains commentary on the "battlement" of Deuteronomy 22; and the word "nurture" of Ephesians 6:4. It also examines Psalm 127, and the responsibility of children to grow up and confront the enemies in the gate.

Acts 2:38: Baptist Not Necessary for Eternal Salvation

In this third, and final message in this series on baptism, we examine Acts 2:38. This is a major verse used by UPC, so-called Church of Christ, and other baptismal regeneration advocates. The false doctrine of these groups is rooted in wrong division of the Scriptures - and in confusing the Gift with the Prize, and Relationship with Fellowship, and the Eternal kingdom with the Millennial.

This message continues to refute the false gospel of baptismal regeneration, found in Roman Catholicism, and various Protestant church, as well as UPC, and so-called Church of Christ, etc. It examines the various explanations for apparent problem verses - such as Bullingerism, Ruckmanism, as well as the "water baptism as evidence of real faith," views. It reveals that the answer is plain. But so many have, sadly, missed or buried the clear resolution. It is true that the pride of man loves to be a Pharisee - even if, like the Pharisee, he "gives God the credit" by thanking Him for His grace!

Why Did Jesus ask, "Who is my mother?" This message reveals the perfect, sinless balance the Lord Jesus walked in, by His absolute obedience to the Father. This message calls children of all ages to obedience and reverence of their parents (and in this message specifically - of their mothers). This message is wake up call to how God punishes disrespectful "teens," etc. It calls even adult children to honor their parents by providing for them in old age. But it mainly also warns against how Satan uses parental honor to tempt Christians into idolatry of the family! It shows the best and Biblical way to truly love parents, and all family members - and specifically one's precious mother.

What are the ways this word is used in the Bible? Do lost sinners need to VERBALLY confess to be ETERNALLY saved? This message resolves the supposed tension between the Apostle Paul and James. It reveals the necessity for BELIEVERS to verbally and openly confess the Lord, confess our sins to Him, and not hide our light! [ Old Path Church. Ozarks. Missouri. King James Bible. KJV Only.
Are You Seduced by Gnosticism? (1 John)

This message examines the false teaching that John was rebuking in his 1st Epistle. It reveals how these early Gnostics soon became an avalanche of twisted truths and heresies, resulting in wickedness and immorality. These teachings are blossoming today - even among so-called conservative churches. It DOES matter how we live in our physical bodies.

This message examines the K-Pop movement that has spread like wildfire around the world. It examines the movement from a Biblical perspective. It also shows that Korean researchers, homosexuals, and many youth, all agree that it is a gateway and link to homosexuality. Even witches believe the movement is powerful witchcraft. The androgyny in this cultic movement is a fulfillment of Bible prophecy, and it is Satan's goal to ruin children.

Watchmen Rejected or AWOL! (Pastors, Husbands, Fathers)

What happens if you flee the Lord's Watchmen on the wall? What is the result of breaking down the fences, hedges and protective walls in your life? What did God mean we He told Adam to "keep" the Garden? This message reveals the responsibility of pastors, husbands, fathers (and even mothers and old siblings), to watch over those under their care! It reveal the sad reality that Laodicean "Christianity" has been taught (trained) to despise and flee the watchmen in their lives - to slander them, and revolt. Satan baldly wants an opportunity to get a foothold in your life and in the lives of your family members, so he can turn it into a stronghold! He wants your seed to not be godly. He wants your seed to be Sodomites, or at least careless rebels, unconcerned about the sober things of God! Just as he tempts wives and children to accuse and rebel against the man of the house, he also tempts men to rebel against the pastors (watchmen) who sound the alarm of danger about the cultural influences Satan is controlling. As the man flees in a cowardly manner, Satan laughs, as he is then able to accomplish what he was not able to easily accomplish before, while the watchman was blasting the trumpet to expose him! It is all recorded beforehand by God! In God's way, there is protection, with troubles. But God delivers! In Satan's way, there is destruction, with no deliverance. His broad way looks easier. That is why Adam took it!

This message reveals that the Philadelphian church is a picture of ready, obedient Christians in the last days. There will be two groups of Christians in the end times, directly before the coming of Christ to judge the house of God. There will those picture by the church in Philadelphia, and those pictured by the church of the Laodiceans. This message also examines the Ten Virgins of Matthew 25. We are exhorted to become (and stay) Philadelphian Christians, so we may be caught up to reward and glory when the Lord comes to the sky before the Tribulation. Laodicean believers, etc, will often try to hinder the ready and watching believers. But the Lord promises that the testimony, preaching and teaching cannot be stopped! Don't give up your holiness, crown, testimony, for anyone or anything!

The Devilish Coverings of Rebels

This message on Isaiah 30 looks at the false, worthless "coverings" that rebellious, childish believers often trust in. From bad counsel, to worldly alliances, idols, blame-shifting excuses, etc., these wicked coverings "add sin to sin" and bring great, fiery judgments. May God in His mercy give His rebellious children a clear vision of the false hopes, securities and comforts that they have heaped to themselves in the place of God and His Word.

Yet we should not judge rashly, since God is in control and often uses trials to accomplish His glory and good.

We have been looking at the rise of pagan death culture in the world and how the Bible calls us to life. In this message we examine the LIFE that the Lord Jesus brings to us. There is Eternal Life by grace through faith alone in the Lord Jesus and His Blood. But this message also examines John 10:10, where the Lord teaches us that He also brings us MORE. This extra blessing is the subject of this sermon!

This message (after reproving the murder of babies and the elderly in previous weeks) deals with the suicide epidemic that is increasing around the world. It reveals that all suicide is evil (whether unassisted or assisted). It reveals the full meaning of the 6th commandment. It shows that most revivals in history have had personal health and self-discipline preached by the leaders. The Lord brings eternal life and abundant life, and we should not forget His benefits! This message includes documentation on the meaning of the word "surfeit" with quotes.

Following after last week's message against abortion/infanticide, this Pro-Life message exposes the death-agenda at the other end - mainly the extermination of the elderly through the Euthanasia, stealth euthanasia, Hospice agenda. It deals with what the Bible teaches on dying, morphine, etc. It exposes the agenda and change that has come upon the world in this largely post-Christian, pro-pagan era. It concludes with God's commands and warnings for us to be soul winners, lifesavers, and speak up for the helpless, the perishing, etc. We must try to save lives, eternally, and at the Judgment Seat of Christ, and in this present age! And we must beware of the attempt for men to play God!

Pagan Child Sacrifice Revived! Say No to Abortion

This message is to warn the nation, and believers, that abortion is not some mere "political" difference. It is a pagan abomination that God has cursed since ancient times. As Missouri prepares to vote on Amendment 3, it is important to set the record straight about abortion. It is child sacrifice, and the abortion supporters (Planned Parenthood, etc.) are framing it as a sacred, religious duty! This and other abominations must be repented of or God will bring greater judgments.

Preached at Crown of Life Baptist. This message examines the various mercies of God that we overlook and forget. It also shows important information for managing our emotional life. God wants us to love Him with our affections. But there is a proper order and a proper way to manage the emotional life and passions. This message is an exposition of Psalm 103. It shows that even those who will win crowns for service, are blessed by the mercies of God. This message reveals the balance between fear and hope, justice and mercy, in the Christian life.

They Blame God for Sin!

Homosexuals, etc., proclaim that "God made them the way they are." Others blame their sin on God's Providence, or His Sovereignty, or His supposed passivity in their sanctification. In the end, the world (and worldly believers) hates and shuns responsibility and accountability. It will bring in a new religion like psychology to redefine sin into a sickness. Or, theologically, so magnify God's side or role in sanctification (as seen in several, diverse, even opposing, movements and "isms"), as to allow man to feel especially holy for this magnification, while his own responsibility and accountability are sidelined, as well as other attributes of God. The series asks, "Why are so many Christians disobedient?" This is no time to tiptoe around the answers. We have given 7 reasons, including this sermon, that many Christians are disobedient. One or more of these answers will no-doubt ruffle some feathers. Open rebuke is better than the secret love that so many put forth today. May God give an open door to whatever is from His Word and Spirit in these messages.

The Sin of Ignoring OT, Moral, Natural Law!

This message s No. 6, in the series, on Why Many Christians are Disobedient. This message reveals that another main reason is that they do not read the OT, they do not obey the OT, in the moral, natural law commandments and warnings - where God's will is stated, often in very direct, plain language. There are certainly NT modifications to the OT that should be observed today. But there is much that is absolutely, fully applicable today, that has been ignored by many modern Christians. This message finally shows the sin and dangers of making provision for the flesh. It shows that whatever things God judged Gentile nations for in the OT, are still abominable today, and even more worthy of judgment.

So Few Christians Fear God Today!

This is the 5th message in the series, "Why are many Christians Disobedient?" This sermon walks through the Scriptures revealing the commands to fear God. It reveals the blessings from fearing God. It reveals that fear often means to be afraid, even with terror and dread. It often includes trembling. This message also answers the objections and verses (misinterpreted) often used to counter these commands! The main point is that, by fear, men depart from evil! Little fear? Little departing from sin.

All Four Gospels Are For Christians Today! (Including the Sermon on the Mount)

This message is the 4th, in the series on Why Many Christians are Disobedient. It could also be placed in the Hyper-Dispensational Delusion, category. It reveals the dangers and error of teaching Christians that the teachings of the Lord in the Gospels are "Old Testament" and "Mosaic Law," ONLY for the nation of Israel. When believers are robbed of the Lord's commandments that He gave in His public ministry, as well as His promises and warnings, it is no wonder that it results in a carelessness, coldness, and too often, blatant sins. This message answers the arguments and seeks to set the record straight in godly simplicity. The Sermon on the Mount, etc., is addressed to New Testament believers, not the unsaved. It is also NOT the constitution of the future Millennium, applicable only to future Israel! Let's get back to Biblical, literal interpretation, before it is too late.

The Fall of Many Christians By Pride! (Spoiled By Pop-Psychology)

This message examines the fall of many modern Christians through the false teachings of self-esteem, self-love, etc., that has pampered a whole generation of "whiners" through the psychological movement. It has resulted in Christians who are unthankful, entitled, and refuse to be corrected. This message shows some important history. It quotes D. M. Lloyd-Jones and others. It reveals that this selfishness results in a lack of sacrificial service, unholy fear, while at the same time, not properly fearing God! Almost a whole generation of modern believers now scoff and scorn at the warnings that they can be temporarily chastised at the coming Judgment Seat of Christ. This age has grown up with everyone getting a passing grade, regardless of performance. Everyone (from parent and preacher) has walked on egg-shells to nurse their self-esteem (pride). The whole affair is devilish, from Satan.

This message reveals the Biblical proof that feelings, desires, passions, signs, impressions, etc., should not be in the driver's seat of our lives. It also examines some history, as well as modern examples, showing how letting the feelings rule usually leads to fornication, adultery, etc. The message also examines the rise and fall of Hannah Whitall Smith and her family - and her last warning on how we might avoid the pitfalls that she discovered the hard way. If it feels good, should we do it, with no testing? Walk by the Scriptures, or else Satan will be at the door. This message is long - but necessary!

Why Are Many Christians Disobedient? (Ignorance of Bible Words!)

There are several answers to why many modern Christians are disobedient. In this first message, we look at a basic reason: There is vast ignorance of the Bible and the very words that God uses to describe sin. This dumbing-down of Christian culture is by design. This message examines various LISTS of sins in the NT, and briefly explains the meaning of many that are intelligible. (We do not need so-called "up-dated" translations. We need to get back to learning to read).

It is a bad thing to not grow past the basics. But it is even worse when we no longer have the basics in our Christian lives! This message examines some of the rudimentary basics of Christian living - things like basic repentance, fear of God, baptism, church attendance, soul winning, prayer, etc. When we no longer have even these basic foundations...what can the righteous do? You are a sitting duck to Satan!

Plastic Preachers! (Corrupting the Water of the Word)

This sermon first looks at the dangers of drinking from plastic bottles, etc., to our physical health. It reveals old and new studies and evidence of these dangers. More information has come to light. But the main goal of the message reveals that when we allows our hearts to be compromised and tainted, it will begin to corrupt our speech, and what we teach others. Indeed, many preachers themselves, have become Plastic Preachers. They may have truth. But they corrupt the truth because they are unclean vessels with unclean, impure hearts. God help us in this generation!

A Hindrance to Answered Prayer (Scofield Notes and Hyper-D)

This message refutes Scofield and his notes regarding the Sermon on the Mount, etc. It reveals that Scofield (and other hyper-dispensationalists) removes much needed responsibility and warnings from modern believers. This message focuses on one area - grudges, unforgiveness, bitterness. There is indeed a price to pay for sinful unforgiveness, now and later.

This sermon is another exposition of Hebrews chapter 6. It deals with the dangers of staying a babe in Christ too long. When we reject light and growth, we grieve God and risk becoming hardened in sin, stubbornness, and immaturity.

This message contrasts Biblical counsel with worldly counsel. It reveals that God does not coddle, or pamper; yet He is kind and compassionate. And in His perfections, He loves us too much to feed self-pity, or provide a justification for sin and sloth.
